You know what is a special time? When a little girl turns three. What better way then in a pretty pink dress in the park?
I could not of had more fun with these gorgeous ladies! Thank you so much for letting me share in the joy you have together. keep smiling and making each other laugh! Sisters are forever and mothers are where our hearts feel at home.
I first met Kavan and Benita at a local coffee shop and I knew right off the bat I was going to have a lot of fun with this down to earth couple. They obviously loved each other very much and their laughter and jokes were contagious. I knew their country themed wedding would be something to remember with the amount of history and detail they put into their day. Little details really make my heart sing and Benita had a gorgeous family brooch on her bouquet and wore her mother’s earrings.
After getting ready with the girls we headed to the family farm south of Taber. This stunning location would be the back drop of Kavan and Benita’s First look as well as the formal pictures and ceremony. A huge windmill farm to the north and old buildings and towering trees made this place unforgettable. After alot of laughter and a couple gun shows we had to duck inside to wait out a freak prairie storm that rolled through in less then an hour. Thankful nothing got wrecked and it gave me time to capture some stunning silhouettes of Kavan and Benita.
A ceremony filled with family and friends followed, and finished with the signing on the back of a truck. I loved how country this wedding was! We headed straight for the Taber Legion Hall for dinner and dancing. I was able to sneak the couple away for a few more shots at sunset, throw in an old car and the day was glorious from start to finish!
On August 9th I had the absolute privilege of joining Jade and Dan on their wedding day! I knew it was going to be a super fun and gorgeous day when Jade and I first met and she described her dream to me. From the Family Tree with photographs of all the married couples in their life to the over flowing swag bag for her girls there wasn’t a thing that Jade hadn’t thought of. Jade looked absolutely stunning in her feathered gown that matched the elegant bird theme, her makeup was flawless and she just radiated joy the entire day. Dan was calm and collected even if he was super excited. The ceremony was filled with giggles, children and hilarious vows. When I had arrived in the morning Jade still hadn’t written her vows and with a bit of encouragement from me and some others Jade decided to add a little impromptu interpretive dance to her vows to demonstrate how much she loved Dan. After the laughter had subsided during the ceremony she blew us and Dan away with really touching vows. Talk about emotional rollercoaster! The ceremony ended with a dove release, it was so beautiful to see the doves fly away and join a flock circling over head! Just another detail that made this wedding so memorable. The evening was relaxed with delicious food and touching speeches. Dan and Jade both have such welcoming and loving hearts to all the people in their lives, to be able to share their day and hear about their love and witness it was so special.
I spent a spectacular day with this couple as they celebrated their love for each other and said their vows! The day started with the ominous forecast of thunder, but it was not to be because this couple deserved the gorgeous day they got! Tess looked absolutely radiant in her dress, the elegant lines complimenting her easy going nature. She, being more practical than anything else, wore these killer hot-pink sneakers under her dress. And stripey socks. Seriously the most chill bride ever! The first look before the ceremony made me all emotional. Michael is a reserved groom, but the look of sheer happiness on his face when he saw Tess for the first time was priceless. I’m pretty sure he didn’t stop grinning until the day was long over. At the church Tess put so much thought into the details of the beach theme wedding, she even had little bubble wands for people to celebrate with! The ceremony was perfect with lots of laughs and emotional moments. After the ceremony I got to sneak the bride and groom away and let them have some times to enjoy each other!
The reception was over-flowing with incredible stories of how wonderful this couple is. To hear funny stories of Michael and Tess and to see them surrounded by so much love was really incredible. I felt so honoured to be able to witness the whole day! I wish them all the joy and happiness they could imagine because there are no two kinder or more caring people!
So after having to reschedule our shoot from Saturday due to snow and ice rain, we were greeted with sun and no rain today! This down to earth couple is looking forward to their country wedding in August, and I am super stoked to be looking forward to celebrating with them.
